Hi, I’m Sachat 🐾, the whiskered editor-in-chief of The Happy Cat. Behind my purrs there’s a human who’s crazy about cats, fed up with dodgy kibble and never-ending advice. Our goal is simple: to help you give your cat a healthier life, with natural products we’ve genuinely put through their paces.
Our mission
Cat wellness, natural and no nonsense. We break down your cat’s food, prevention, little care routines and environment to give you practical, tested advice and healthy products, without the jargon and without selling you a dream.
How we choose our products (our method)
We never recommend at random. Every product we suggest goes through a strict checklist:
- Verified ratings & reviews, on Amazon: a minimum of 4.5★ with a representative number of reviews (a 5★ with a single review doesn’t count). On Zooplus: a minimum of 4★ with enough feedback.
- Natural materials, we favour sisal, wood, wool, cardboard, ceramic and the like, and we steer clear of plastic/synthetic whenever a credible natural alternative exists.
- Real relevance, every link leads to a genuine product page, never to a random search.
- Honesty, when a category has no good natural option, we say so clearly rather than fobbing you off with just anything.
Transparency: affiliate links
Some links on the site are affiliate links (Amazon Associates, Zooplus). If you buy through them, the site earns a small commission, at no extra cost to you. That’s what lets us keep researching, testing and writing. Our golden rule: we never recommend a product just for the commission. If it’s not good for your cat, it doesn’t make the cut.

The Happy Cat shares information and natural tips, based on research and the experience of cat owners. This does not replace the advice of a vet. If you’re unsure, notice an unusual symptom, or before any major change (diet, parasite treatment, supplement), please consult an animal health professional.
